All Creatures Great and Small: A Look Into Veterinary Science (E23727)
Foster your love for animals and explore a career in Veterinary Science in this TDP class! Designed to mirror what happens daily in a veterinary clinic, this experience is hands-on. You will work with live dogs and learn the basic skills needed to work in a veterinary setting, including how to handle animals safely, how to complete physical exams, and how to collect and evaluate microscopic samples. We will also explore various careers in the veterinary field.

¡Hola a todos! This week-long class will be going over key phrases and vocabulary for conversational Spanish. This class will give learners the ability to start a conversation and understand common phrases that they can use in their day-to-day life. This class is perfect for learners who want to start their Spanish journey or simply want to practice the basics of a new language for a week!

Did you know there are about 4,000 colleges in the United States? With so many options out there, researching all the different aspects of a college can be overwhelming. This course will introduce students to what makes up a college, including types of colleges, factors to consider when selecting a college, and ways to get involved while on campus – all while creating their own “Fantasy College” along the way. With the help of a D214 Postsecondary Counselor and College Admissions guest speakers, students will work in groups to create a “Fantasy College" made up of the concepts covered in the class, and in the process, become more familiar with the type of college that will be a good academic, social, and financial fit for themselves.
