Driver Education

  • Driver Education is a high-demand program with a fixed number of seats. Students must be 15 years of age or older by May 1, 2025, to register. Once rostered, students must attend every class for the entire six weeks (June 9-July 24) as there is no “make-up” option available.

If attendance flexibility is required, please consider alternative private options.

In April, registered students will be given information about obtaining an Illinois State Learner’s Permit, which requires a permit application generated by District 214. Registered students must obtain their instructional permit by May 23, the Friday before finals week.

There are four sections from which to choose:

    Morning Sections:

    • 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
    • 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

    Evening Sections:

    • 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
    • 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Transportation will be available for purchase for students enrolled in the two morning Driver Education sessions. Please review specifics in the Transportation area of the website for important information regarding Driver Education transportation.
