The invitation follows Dr. Jill Biden's impactful visit to Rolling Meadows High School in November 2022, where she engaged with District 214 students and staff as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

Elk Grove High School has celebrated exciting changes recently, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a sparkling new culinary arts lab and students benefiting from an updated student services area. Meanwhile, Buffalo Grove High School’s athletic fields, long plagued by drainage problems, are being upgraded and improved, creating a vastly improved experience for students and fans alike.
District 214 kicked off an exciting new chapter with the official launch of Girls Flag Football, following the sport’s recent recognition by the Illinois High School Association. This initiative marks a significant milestone for the District, with teams established at all six comprehensive high schools, offering a new platform for female athletes to shine.
Some high school experiences, as fun or important as they may seem at the time, are fleeting. Others, however, literally change lives in ways that endure for decades. So it is with WildStang, the District 214 competition robotics program. WildStang last week celebrated its 30th anniversary by welcoming alumni, staff, mentors, former mentors and others associated with the highly successful program to a reception at Forest View Educational Center.

High School District 214 is pleased to present its 2023-2024 report to the community, reflecting a year of significant progress, innovation and strengthened relationships. Under the guidance of Superintendent Dr. Scott Rowe, the District embarked on its first comprehensive strategic planning effort in nearly 30 years, aiming to shape the next five years and beyond through a commitment to listening and evolving.
