All financial documents are reported in accordance with the Illinois School Code and Illinois State Board of Education. Audit - Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports
High School District 214 prepares a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) every year. The CAFR is a government financial statement that goes beyond the minimums established for public sector companies set by the National Council on Governmental Accounting.
High School District 214 has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials for our CAFR for each year since Fiscal Year 2009. This award represents a very significant achievement and reflects our commitment to the highest standard of school system financial reporting.

Meritorious Budget
Creation of the Meritorious Budget document is optional for High School District 214. The budget document is easy to understand, increases credibility, provides clarity and transparency on how funds are generated and allocated, and offers an opportunity to communicate future budget concerns and challenges to our staff, parents, students and community members.

Contract Reporting Status
In order to comply with Illinois Senate Bill 783, school boards are required to report contracts on the district's website for all contracts awarded over $25,000 and all collective bargaining contracts. Each vendor is required to supply this information with the bid and be signed by the owner.

Employee Agreements and Salary Reporting
High School District 214 reports the base salaries and benefits of the superintendent as well as all administrators and teachers every year. The district also posts information relating to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund and employee bargaining agreements.
