• At District 214, we've developed an integrated approach to learning that embraces academic rigor driven by student interest and discovery in a career pathway. These learning opportunities expose students to a wide range of real-world experiences that challenge their intellectual curiosity to engage in a diverse and global society. D214 students receive mentoring and guidance from both teachers and industry leaders, allowing them to better understand and assess their skill sets and prepare them for a smooth postsecondary transition.

The Department of Teaching and Learning is led by Dr. Lazaro Lopez, the Associate Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. Dr. Lopez provides instructional leadership and coordinates district curriculum, instruction, and instructional materials for the purpose of student achievement and learning.
