District 214 High Schools Earn 2024 AP® School Honor Roll Recognition
District 214 is proud to announce that all six of its high schools have been named to the 2024 AP® School Honor Roll, celebrating their commitment to broadening access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses and fostering student success. This distinction highlights the exceptional efforts of students, staff, and leadership across the district to expand opportunities and achieve outstanding academic outcomes.
For 2024, 5,061 schools across the nation—representing 32% of eligible high schools—earned this recognition, with 1,962 schools also receiving the AP Access Award for their dedication to equitable access to advanced coursework. Research shows that AP programs help build a college-going culture, enhance college readiness, and accelerate students’ paths to graduation.

- Buffalo Grove High School: Silver with Access
- Elk Grove High School: Bronze with Access
- John Hersey High School: Gold with Access
- Prospect High School: Silver
- Rolling Meadows High School: Silver
- Wheeling High School: Bronze
