Math & Science

  • Students are required to earn three units of credit in mathematics to graduate from Elk Grove High School. One credit must be in algebra and one in geometry. The course sequence that students follow is algebra, geometry, then algebra II. Students that complete this sequence may continue on in precalculus, calculus, statistics, or elective math courses. Senior year, students have the opportunity to choose an AP, dual credit, or transitional math course.

    Students must earn at least two units of credit in science to graduate from Elk Grove High School. The course sequence that students follow is biology, chemistry, then physics. Senior year, students have the opportunity to choose between AP and elective courses.
