Improv Club
Improv Club is a great activity to work on improvisational skills. An improvisation is a form of theater where the script and dialogue are created in the moment by actors. The specific framework for creating this unique theater form include but are not limited to "yes and", being in the moment, strong character choices, listening, and reacting.
Students are able to connect and play at his/her/their individual comfort level. Most importantly, we have fun, laugh, and play all in the name of creating improvised scenes using our highest intelligence.
Every other year the Spring Show is a collaboration with Chicago-based All Ages Friendly Improv Show ComedySportz. Improv Club is highly recommended to participate to learn about and practice Improvisation.
All are welcome. No experience necessary.
