Buffalo Grove High School Orchesis, under the direction of Michelle Carrison and assisted by Hannah Vaselaney, is in its 44th year as a dance program.  The co-ed group is a performing group that encourages all forms of dance including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, Contemporary, break-dancing, lyrical, tap, character, multicultural, choreography, etc. Orchesis is a co-curricular activity that involves a variety of performance opportunities. The team also focuses on exploring, creating and producing dance as an art form.

BGHS Orchesis participates in District 214-Honors Orchesis Showcase and 214 Artist In Residence.  Over the past few years have performed in Dance Chicago’s Dance slam, the Illinois High School dance festival student choreography showcase, the Fed Ex Orange Bowl half time shows and the Disney Performing Arts showcase in Orlando, Florida.
