In the Social Sciences, Academy students take human geography as freshmen and world history as sophomores, based on the core curriculum in the student's home school and designed with each student's individualized education plan in mind. Some students take U.S. History as juniors or move on to other electives, including sociology, psychology, law, integrated social science, and service learning.
The Academy does not have any world languages teachers but students are free to choose from the full range of courses offered at their home schools.
