Math and Science
-
The math curriculum at The Academy at Forest View often starts with algebra for freshmen and then moves onto geometry for sophomores and advanced algebra for juniors. These students can take an elective senior year. Math electives include college algebra, intermediate algebra, and college mathematical applications.
Students have just two years of required science courses before being able to explore electives. Courses are designed based on the core curriculum at a student's home school and chosen based on a student's individualized education plan. Biology is common for freshmen and chemistry is common for sophomores. Electives include physical science, environmental science, ecology, and science and society.
