Published January 4, 2022

Rolling Meadows High School graduate Max Christie earned every imaginable accolade for a remarkable high school basketball career. His honors include being named 2021 Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year and a McDonald’s All-American, a coveted designation reserved for only two dozen athletes nationwide.

Now playing for nationally ranked Michigan State University and legendary coach Tom Izzo, Max’s success rolls on. In addition to being his team’s fourth leading scorer, he already has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors three times while leading the Spartans in minutes played.

In this new video (click on the image above), Max, his family and high school coach discuss his basketball and personal journey, including his parents’ role in instilling a love of the game; his deep appreciation for his experience at Rolling Meadows High School; and the work and dreams that lie ahead.
