Research shows that a range of cognitive benefits come with learning a second or third language. In our globalized economy, bilingualism also comes with concrete benefits for job-seekers. Here at Prospect High School, students have the opportunity of learning French, Italian, and Spanish. Several levels are taught for all of these languages to allow students a path toward fluency and literacy.
Prospect High School students take human geography as freshmen, world history as sophomores, and U.S. history as juniors before getting the opportunity to take a range of electives. At the Advanced Placement level, these electives include U.S. government and politics, economics, psychology, and European history. Additional electives cover law, sociology, world religions, and psychology.
