• Requirements

Be enrolled in or eligible to enroll in any District 214 school: Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, or Wheeling. (Exception: We allow a limited number of District 211 students to join. If you are a D211 student, note this on the interest form below.)
Be physically fit in order to participate in the Wheeling NJROTC physical fitness program (students with physical limitations may be admitted to the program with NSI approval).
Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by both Wheeling NJROTC and the national NJROTC program (see the Cadet Field Manual and Cadet Handbook on the Manuals and Handbooks page for rules and regulations).

    How to Join

Ensure that you meet the requirements listed above.
    Contact your school’s representative.
If you go to Wheeling High School (where the unit is based), go to Room 120 and talk to one of the instructors (NSIs).
If you go to another D214 school, email the cadet representative of your school (see Chain-of-Command and find your cadet representative under “School Reps”).
If you go to a NON D214 school, email jermaine.cotillier@d214.org or wayne.beyer@d214.org.
Once you email/talk to an instructor or cadet rep, they will guide you through joining the program.*

Fill out this interest form so that we can put you on our cadet roster.
Talk to your school counselor and ask them to add Naval Science 1 (NJROTC) to your schedule.

    * To email a cadet rep, go to the Chain-of-Command and right click on the cadet's name. Click "Copy Email Address," paste it in the "To" line of your email service, and send them a message.

If you are unable to make contact or have any urgent questions, please contact an instructor by calling (847)718-7115 or by emailing jermaine.cotillier@d214.org / wayne.beyer@d214.org.
