District 214 is offering the The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).
The ASVAB is a free test that helps you identify your career interests and work related values. ASVAB scores are used to determine if you are qualified to enlist in the military and to assign you to an appropriate job in the military.
When: Monday, November 14, 2022
8:30 AM – approximately 11:30 AM
(This test is computer-based and self-paced. The test takes an average of 1.5
hours to test, but students will be allowed a max of 3 hours. Students should
report back to school after testing.)

High School Pre-Registration
8th Grade Testing and High School Pre-Registration
Step 1: Complete the High School Pre-Registration for 8th grade students entering high school in the fall of 2023. Open October 3 - November 14.
Step 2: Students take PSAT 8/9 Placement Exam
Test Dates: Saturday, October 29 or Makeup Exam Saturday, November 5
Choose a test date when the pre-registration is completed.
Time: 8:00 a.m. to approximately 11:45 a.m. (Plan to arrive by 7:45 a.m.
Location: Buffalo Grove HS, Elk Grove HS, John Hersey HS, Prospect HS, Rolling Meadows HS, and Wheeling HS.

Test Dates: May 1 - May 12, 2023
AP exam registration takes place in the fall, even though AP exams will be given in May.
Cost: Each AP exam costs $97 (AP Seminar/Research $145).
Students approved for free or reduced lunch will receive a reduced cost during registration.

Seal of Biliteracy Registration
Seal of Biliteracy Registration (October 19 - November 3)
District 214 students have the opportunity to earn the Seal of Biliteracy, the State of Illinois’s recognition for proficiency in English and one or more additional languages. District 214 is offering an opportunity for students to take the Seal of Biliteracy language assessments.

Students must be a junior or senior and first meet the English criteria before registering for the Seal of Biliteracy language assessment.
At District 214 Computer Labs: November 17 at Elk Grove High School from 4pm-7pm.
Test at home (more information on the registration site): Test window from November 30 through December 13.
