From our halls to the pros, Cameron Christie is officially in the NBA. The Rolling Meadows High School 2023 graduate was the 46th pick in the second round of the draft by the L.A. Clippers.

Cameron joins his older brother, Max Christie (RMHS '21) in L.A., who was drafted two years ago by the Lakers. Their sibling rivalry will play out on the big NBA stage.

"It’s super cool. We both worked really hard together to get to this point,” said Cameron Christie in an interview with the NBA. “For us to finally both be in the league, I’m really looking forward to competing against him.”

Older brother Max was in Brooklyn for the draft, even sporting a Clippers hat to support. When asked what the first Clippers vs. Lakers game will be like, he laughed and replied, “It’ll be exciting for both of us. Either way it’s going to be a joy.”

Cameron spent one season at the University of Minnesota and averaged 11.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Gophers. He was named to the 2023-24 Big Ten All-Freshman team.

In high school, Cameron was a four-year starter for the Mustangs and was ranked as one of the top recruits in the state.
