All six District 214 comprehensive high schools rank among the top 15% of public high schools nationwide in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.
More than 27,000 public high schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia are included in the 2026-27 rankings. The national recognition highlights the strong academic experiences available to students across District 214 and the dedication of students and staff throughout the District.
All six District 214 comprehensive high schools also ranked among the top 150 public high schools in Illinois.
U.S. News & World Report evaluates schools using several measures, including college readiness, state assessment proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.
While the rankings represent one measure of school success, the recognition reflects District 214’s broader commitment to providing students with challenging learning opportunities and preparing them for success in college, careers and beyond.
