Intent to Enroll now open for incoming District 214 freshmen
Families of incoming freshmen can now take the first step toward the 2027–28 school year by completing High School District 214’s Intent to Enroll form.
The form is open Sept. 14 through Oct. 30 and helps District 214 high schools connect with incoming families about important next steps, including parent nights, the placement process and annual high school registration, which opens in June.
Families should complete the Intent to Enroll form by Oct. 30.

Fall Musical - Avenue Q: School Edition
The Broadway hit, with equal parts puppetry, comedy, and a great musical score, has been adapted for the school stage from the original production, which won the 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book. Mature themes are still explored, but the "School Edition" is decidedly more "viewer-friendly," while preserving its original integrity. Like "Sesame Street," "Avenue Q" has interacting human and puppet residents, but that's where the similarities end. On Avenue Q, sunny days don't necessarily sweep the clouds away. Twenty-somethings are often struggling to find their place in the world, while dealing with the stress of securing jobs and making relationships work. Princeton, a recent college graduate, moves into a shabby apartment on the New York City street, Avenue Q, where he and his new friends face the everyday struggle of trying to find purpose in life. The characters eventually learn to discover, accept, and own who they are.

Multilingual Parent Meeting
District 214’s Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) invites families to attend a Multilingual Parent Meeting on Wednesday, October 7, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights.
Families will have an opportunity to meet the District’s multilingual support team and learn about programs and resources available to support students and families. Topics will include resources for newcomer families, understanding grades and report cards, and how families can use technology to stay connected and informed.

New Athletics & Activities Calendar Link
As we continue to prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to let you know about a change in how our athletic department will navigate scheduling, facility usage, and online information for each of our athletic teams during the 2026-27 school year.
Our athletic department, school, and conference have moved to Bound, an online platform that will serve as our primary source for game schedules, team information, and event updates. Parents and student-athletes can use Bound to view schedules, receive updates when changes occur, and stay informed throughout their season.
