Hey Wildcats!
If you need a locker this year, you must complete this form. Lockers are not automatically assigned. Make sure to fill out all sections of the form completely.
Already have a locker from last year?
You’ll keep that same locker through your senior year, so there’s no need to fill this out again.
Once your locker is assigned, you will receive an email with your locker location and combination.
Please note: Locker assignments may take up to two weeks to process. Thanks for your patience!
If you have any questions, stop by the Main Office—we’re happy to help.

Welcome
CLASS OF 2030!
Tonight, we hope you experience a little bit of what it will be like to be a freshman at WHS.
During your time here tonight, please make sure you complete each item on your checklist to help you prepare for being a freshman and get a real sense of what high school is like. These items can be completed in any order! Plan on spending about one hour walking around the school completing your items.
Must Complete Items:
-Pick up your student’s folder in the Main Gym before the presentation.
- Attend an overview presentation in the Main Gym. Presentation begins at 6:00 pm and will last about 20 minutes.
- Before you select your elective courses for next year, spend time visiting some of our elective stations to learn more about your options. All electives represented tonight are listed on the back. Please visit at least 4 different stations!
- Look at your Course Selection sheet and confirm or change your core placement using the provided QR code
- Make sure to check your folder for any missing items that must be turned in and any communications specific to your student.
- End your visit back in the Main Gym. Here, you can meet with a counselor if you have any questions about your course options. Division Heads for each department will also be available.
- Have you submitted your student’s birth certificate electronically or been to the main gym to have it copied? If you have not, please do it before you leave today.
- Make sure to stop by the Field House to see the sports, clubs and activities that Wheeling High School has to offer!
Our mission at WHS is to help students and staff explore, care, connect, and grow in a changing world.
We achieve this mission through our core academic courses, our athletics and activities, and also through our expansive elective program.
If you have questions about placement for your core classes (English, Math, Social Science, and Science), administrators will be in the main gym to answer questions. If you would like to learn about the options you have for PE, please visit our dance teacher in the performing arts room below, or visit our Fitness Center to learn about our programming overall.
Electives are the part of the schedule that YOU get to choose! Please spend time exploring some options tonight. We encourage each student to stop by at least 4 of our different elective stations listed below. You are more than welcome to explore all options. Classrooms will be open from 6:00- 8:00 PM.
