The D214 Special Olympics team showed off their skills in the Night of Hoops event at Hersey High School. This annual event is held with Barrington High School, but the host school switches every other year. It serves as a fundraiser for Special Olympics Region B in the northwest suburbs.

This year, around 50 athletes from the D214 Special Olympics team played in front of their families and peers. This event was student-led and included coaches and referees from Hersey High School’s varsity basketball teams.
