Solar Energy Project Approved for Rolling Meadows High School
District 214 has approved a solar energy project at Rolling Meadows High School that is expected to reduce energy costs while providing new opportunities for students.
The project is projected to generate more than $3.5 million in energy savings over the next 25 years. Solar arrays will be installed at no upfront cost to the District, helping support long-term sustainability efforts.
In addition to energy savings, the project will provide student internship opportunities and scholarship funding to support career exploration and learning experiences in renewable energy fields.
