Prospect High School’s yearbook staff captured second place in the Best Overall Yearbook category in this year’s state competition.

Each year, yearbook staffs from across the state compete in the Illinois Journalism Education Association (IJEA) contest. This competition honors outstanding student work in covering the 2016-17 school year.

In addition to capturing second place in the IJEA State Yearbook Contest, the Prospect yearbook staff earned several other awards in the largest/most competitive IJEA division for their work on the 2016-17 yearbook “Together By Chance, United By Choice."

The staff was awarded first place in Best Sports Coverage, Best Layout and Design and Best Divider Pages; second place in Best Theme Development and Best Coverage of the Year; and honorable mention in Best Use of Graphics and Best Use of Photography categories.
