    The Midwest Education Technology Community named Wheeling High School educators Michael Geist and Tom Steinbach top STEM educators. Geist and Steinbach continue to provide unique opportunities for students interested in STEM and manufacturing at Wheeling. For example, both worked on a project with NASA where students manufactured parts for the International Space Station. As part of the project, students worked directly NASA engineers throughout the process.

  • Applications open now for D214 Foundation's $40K+ in scholarships

    The District 214 Education Foundation is offering $40,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors this spring, including specific opportunities for students pursuing a career certificate in the trades; females pursuing careers in STEM or law; students demonstrating leadership and involvement at specific schools; and our annual Redefining Ready! competition that asks seniors to tell the world, in a 30-second video posted to Twitter, how they are college, career and life ready.
