Attention parents and guardians of incoming freshman students, District 214 requires that you satisfy residency in the school boundaries before you can register your student.
You will be able to verify residency, apply for a fee waiver (if applicable), and register for the school year. Please see the proof of residency form for more information about the documents you will need to verify residency, and bring copies of those documents, if you are able. An original birth certificate must also be presented. If an original birth certificate is not produced, a Passport, Visa or other governmental documentation of the child's identity can be provided. However, an Affidavit explaining the inability to produce a copy of the birth certificate must accompany the Passport, Visa or other governmental documentation of the child's identity. Should you not have an original birth certificate, this must be submitted to the school within 30 days from the first day of school.
Fee Waiver Day
Wheeling High School families who feel that they may qualify for a fee waiver may apply. In order to process your fee waiver application, and pursuant to 105 ILCS 5/10-20.13 from Ch. 122, par.10-20-13, it is required that you bring the following documents:Copy of Income Tax Forms 1040 and W-2 for the current year
Copy of current pay stubs for all family members
Copy of disability or unemployment compensation, if applicable
Proof of child support payment, if applicable
Verification of Foster Child status, if applicable
