2018 Academic Summer School Brochure

Online registration for Academic Summer School begins March 9th at 8am.  Computers will be available at home school's for registration purposes.  Students register through their home high school.  Alternative program students register through their program site.

The Academic Summer School will be hosted at Prospect High School and John Hersey High School.  Class meets from 7:30am to 12:30pm.

The schedule is as follows:

1st Semester: June 11 to June 28, 2018
Week 1: Monday, June 11 to Thursday, June 14
Week 2: Monday, June 18 to Thursday, June 21
Week 3: Monday, June 25 to Thursday, June 28

2nd Semester: July 9 to July 26, 2018
Week 1: Monday, July 9 to Thursday, July 12
Week 2: Monday, July 16 to Thursday, July 19
Week 3: Monday, July 23 to Thursday, July 26

Prospect High School will host all core course options for Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, John Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling High School students.

John Hersey High School will host all special programs for Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, John Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling High School students.

Special Programs held at John Hersey High School will include Driver Education, Transition English as a Second Language, ELL Career Academy, Summer Internship Program, Newcomer, Extended School Year, Skills Training and Upward Bound Programs.

Afternoon Driver Education classes and Sundown Academy evening classes will be held at John Hersey High School.

One 24-day semester at John Hersey High School / Class meets 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Week 1: Monday, June 11 to Thursday, June 14
Week 2: Monday, June 18 to Thursday, June 21
Week 3: Monday, June 25 to Thursday, June 28
Week 4: Monday, July 9 to Thursday, July 12
Week 5: Monday, July 16 to Thursday, July 19
Week 6: Monday, July 23 to Thursday, July 26

 

Summer Enrichment Opportunities
 

2018 Summer Enrichment Brochure

Online registration for Summer Enrichment Courses begins March 9th at 8am.  Computers will be available at home school's for registration purposes.  Students register through their home high school.  Alternative program students register through their program site.

The Summer Enrichment courses will be hosted at various building locations.  Sessions run Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm.  Each session is one week long.  See the brochure for the session dates each course is offered.  These non-credit seminars cost $75 each.  Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from these offerings.
