2020 Academic Summer School Brochure

Register for Summer School

Online registration for Academic Summer School begins March 6th at 8am.  Computers will be available at home school's for registration purposes.  Students register through their home high school. Alternative program students register through their program site.

The Academic Summer School will be hosted at Rolling Meadows High School and Forest View Educational Center.  Class meets from 7:30am to 12:30pm.

The schedule is as follows:

1st Semester: June 8 to June 25, 2020
Week 1: Monday, June 8 to Thursday, June 11
Week 2: Monday, June 15 to Thursday, June 18
Week 3: Monday, June 22 to Thursday, June 25

2nd Semester: June 29 to July 16, 2020
Week 1: Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2
Week 2: Monday, July 6 to Thursday, July 9
Week 3: Monday, July 13 to Thursday, July 16

Rolling Meadows High School will host all core course options for Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, John Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling High School students.

Forest View Educational Center will host all special programs for Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, John Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling High School students.

Special Programs held at Forest View Educational Center will include Transition English as a Second Language, ELL Career Academy, Summer Internship Program, Newcomer, Extended School Year, Skills Training.

Afternoon Driver Education classes and Sundown Academy evening classes will be held at Rolling Meadows High School.

 

Sundown Academy

One 24-day semester at Rolling Meadows High School / Class meets 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Week 1: Monday, June 8 to Thursday, June 11
Week 2: Monday, June 15 to Thursday, June 18
Week 3: Monday, June 22 to Thursday, June 25
Week 4: Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2

Week 5: Monday, July 6 to Thursday, July 9
Week 6: Monday, July 13 to Thursday, July 16

 

Summer Enrichment Opportunities

Online registration for Summer Enrichment Courses begins March 6th at 8am.  Computers will be available at home school's for registration purposes.  Students register through their home high school. Alternative program students register through their program site.

The Summer Enrichment courses will be hosted at Rolling Meadows High School, with a few exceptions.  Sessions run Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm. Each session is one week long.  See the brochure for the session dates each course is offered. These non-credit seminars cost $75 each.  Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from these offerings.

Courses are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment numbers are not met. Refunds will only be given if a course is cancelled.
