    During this class, students will compete in reality-style competitions after learning the A, B, C’s of cooking. This class is for newcomers who want to familiarize themselves in the kitchen as well as master chefs. Reality cooking shows such as Chopped and Iron Chef will be modeled as students experience the excitement of cooking in a competitive environment while making cupcakes, pizzas, and more! Topics covered will include knife skills, functions of ingredients/seasonings, and baking skills. 

    This class requires an additional $15 materials fee.

    Understanding and Cooking Flavors of Hawaii

    This course will introduce the Tastes of Hawaii and behind each dish will be an interaction with our instructor’s 92-year-old mother to understand each one’s history. While learning about the culture of Hawaii, students will prepare and cook six entrees, four desserts, and four appetizers (PuPu) in our culinary classroom kitchen.

    Electronic Music Production

    In Electronic Music Production, you will learn the tricks of the trade to create high-quality, professional sounding music. You’ll begin by learning about the nature of sound and how a signal flows through a studio setup. Additionally, you’ll learn how to create your own custom musical sounds through music synthesis. You’ll explore how to record virtual and real instruments using the iOS app GarageBand. No previous musical experience is required. At the end of the class, students will have produced 1-5 songs of their own creation.
