     Internal University offers D214 staff quality graduate–level professional learning with a focus on the student and the classroom.  All of our courses are taught by District 214 staff members who are expert practitioners in their field and who are committed to continuous improvement, and have been approved as adjunct faculty by Quincy. Through a partnership with Quincy University, teachers can earn transcripted graduate credit for course completion.

      The Internal University curriculum offers courses focused on educational technology, literacy, lesson design, social emotional learning and challenged learners.  Some examples of courses taught include:

    Current Issues in School Improvement
    Differentiated Instruction
    Grading Practices that Work
    Principles of Instructional Design

    The process for registering and receiving remibursement for Internal University follows the same procedures as all other graduate courses. Staff members must:
  • Register for the course
  • Enter the course on a graduate study plan through Protraxx
  • Receive approval notifcation from Professional Learning
  • Submit for reimbursement during the three week reimbursement window
    Reimbursement for Internal University courses follows the same procedure as any other graduate class. The cost will be $275 per credit hour. Certified staff will be reimbursed $250 for each Internal University credit hour, making the out of pocket expense for a 2 hour class $50. Administrators and ESP are welcome to take courses through Internal University and will be reimbursed according to their contractual guidelines.
