Welcome to life, the District 214 Transition Program! We are excited to get this year started and want to give you some essential information, as well as important contact numbers. The goal of life is to build student skill acquisition in order to support success in post-school life. The first day will be on Monday, August 22nd starting at 8:20am and ending at 2:50pm. Students will be at Forest View Educational Center for half of the day, and a volunteer job site for the other half. Job sites start on August 22nd, as well. Please make sure that your student is dressed in long pants and close-toed shoes for work. Job coaches will inform your student about specific uniforms and site rules.
ALL life students will eat lunch at the Forest View Educational Center. Students can bring lunch, purchase lunch daily, or bring a check made out to High School District 214 to be added to their student ID. Lunches in the cafeteria at Forest View cost between $3.00-$3.50.
Before the first day of school, you should be receiving a letter stating your student’s morning bus pick up time. If you haven’t received this information by August 20th, you may contact Mr. Brandon Hayes, the District 214 Transportation Supervisor at (847) 718-7621.
