Harper Promise information night set for Oct. 13

High School District 214 believes in preparing students for a world we can’t yet imagine. Through our Advanced Placement, Dual Credit and certificate programs, we are positioning our students to successfully complete college or enter the workplace with in-demand 21st century skills. Our Career Pathways enable students to discover their passion by taking rigorous coursework and gaining relevant experiences through internships and other opportunities while still in high school.
We are continually identifying ways to expand access to college while also making it more affordable. With that goal in mind, we are partnering with Harper College on an exciting program that further expands college access. Starting with this year’s freshman class, every student in our District will eventually have the opportunity to earn up to two years of free Harper tuition through the Harper Promise scholarship program.
District 214 freshmen must meet strict eligibility requirements to participate in this scholarship program, and must apply during the application window, from October 15th through December 15th. To learn more about the Harper Promise program requirements, please visit the Harper College website.
To answer your questions about the Harper Promise program, we will host an information night on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights. Please enter through door 34. The presentation will take place in the theater, with a concurrent Spanish session in room D100.
We look forward to seeing you October 13, and helping our students succeed.
