North Cook Young Adult Academy

This alternative educational program is for students who are facing expulsion from school due to their disruptive and inappropriate behavior. North Cook Young Adult Academy provides such students with an alternative to expulsion by giving them an opportunity to receive an education that focuses on challenges, choices, and change. North Cook Young Adult Academy is currently part of the state of Illinois' Regional Safe Schools Program. Students involved in North Cook Young Adult Academy may successfully transition back to their home school environment, acquire a Township High School District 214 diploma, or take the GED. Students are recommended for placement in North Cook Young Adult Academy by screening teams. Placement is approved by the building administration and/or the Board of Education.
