Hurricane of Hope Keynote Speaker
Frank J. Klawitter, M.Ed., MCP
Harper College Adjunct Professor Frank J. Klawitter, M.Ed., MCP, will be the keynote speaker at the Hurricane of Hope event on Saturday, May 5, at the Forest View Educational Center Stadium in Arlington Heights. He will cover the topic, "Weathering the Storm."
Mr. Klawitter has taught at the college level for 14 years, including nine years at Indiana Wesleyan University. He also has been a private therapist for children, adolescents, and families, specializing in outpatient treatment of depression, anxiety, attention deficit, eating disorders, and various A-social behaviors. He has worked in hospital settings as a qualified examiner for emergency behavioral health, in addition to serving as a behavioral health consultant for juvenile services in Will and Cook counties, the Hospital Group of Illinois, First Health Care Associates, and the Governor’s Task Force for the Prevention of Child and Elder Abuse.
He has a master’s degree in education and a master's in counseling psychology from Loyola University.
