Students in the Algebra and English courses below participate in the new Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). This state required assessment of the New Illinois Learning Standards Incorporating Common Core will not be used for school placement or programming, but as a secondary measurement of student learning.

Both tests will be administered twice, once in March, as a "Performance Based Assessment" (PBA) and again in May, as the "End-of-Year Assessment" (EOY).

English (ELAIII)

  • American Literature and Composition
  • AP English Language and Composition

Algebra (ALGII)

  • Algebra 2
  • Advanced Algebra (General, Honors, and Accelerated)

If you haven't been notified, please check in your assessment center to determine what dates your school will administer the PARCC assessment.

The required state test is new to students, parents, teachers, and staff and will certainly require patience.
