High School District 214 Board Approves 2014-2015 Budget

Last night, the Board of Education approved the District's 2014-2015 budget. As a result of strong fiscal stewardship and ongoing cost containment initiatives, the District has maintained a balanced operating budget since 1996.

The District's budget reflects its ongoing investment in technology. Across the District, teachers are using technology to transform learning. More than 9,000 of the District's 12,000 students use iPads to enhance the learning experience.

The budget was first presented to the Board in August. The community had an opportunity to comment during a public hearing held prior to the Board meeting last night.
